Atex Fans

In July 2003 it became a legal requirement for manufacturers of fans used in potential explosive atmospheres to comply with the safety and design requirements set out in the ATEX Directive 94/9/EC. The Directive requires manufacturers to design fans that avoid electrical, electrostatic, mechanical and acoustic ignition hazards. Potentially explosive atmospheres can exist in many industries including chemicals, mining, manufacturing and oil and gas platforms.

The Witt Group have been manufacturing ATEX fans longer than most companies.
